     Sorry for my bad English !

    I bought my scanner new from  http://www.babcotools.ca/  in Canada.  Their supplier is www.isnweb.com  and Isn supplier is http://www.autel.us/ . 

    Problem is a received a tool w/o product ID and password.  How is it possible and what can I do to register it ?

    I decided to buy an original instead of a clone and received an incompleted kit w/o cd and ID.

    what is the comment of your supplier to this ?
    NO ID, no password = no working item an in my eyes a reason for a refund.

     My reseller (Babco) told me they can not approve for a refund, and refer me to Isn.  Isn refer me to Autel.us because they don't want to help me. And Autel.us don't answer my email.  Every one is pitching the ball !!  I paid $1500 for a new, not usable tool !

    In fact, right now I am not sure if your tool is original. 
    Looks like you are paying a bunch of buck for an old tool , 2009. 
    Right now, you need to do a system update for it then find out the serial number.
    If the tool is coming out of our US office, they are responsible for your problem.

     I'm not sure too.  But I know it came from Autel.us. The only update I can do is V3.26 and I'm not sure if it loads because if I check back the update is still not installed.

    This tool came w/o manual, dvd, and Id #.  Maybe someone forget to put the American information in the box ?  I bought it in 2011 but I never register it an never use my one year of free update.  I wanted to update it last summer but after 6 months of emails with those suppliers, nobody wants to take the blame and help me.  And w/o original # I think I can not buy updates too ?

     So if I understand correctly, I will stay with my shit !  I will never buy another Autel product and I will also tell everybody I kinow to not buy your product.  There is no aftersale service.

    Sorry, but why have you accepted the tool in 2011 ?
    Important parts are missing and I think in 2011 it would much easier to fix the issue.

    To put the blame on Autel is not OK in my opinion, the seller is the responsible one.

     is anyone else missing an important bit of information here ?

    wild-thing, if you turn on your DS708 on the left hand menu I think second one up it say's about

    in that screen there's a serial number and a passcode under it

    Hey they don't call you wild thing for nothing lol do what that other member is telling
    you check in the tool settings id and password should be there and maybe just maybe
    your tool was never registered updates start running from the moment you register
    your tool try it what do you have to loose worst case scenario pay 650 you have a new
    tool good luck
